How many times have you met with a Microsoft Office application issues? ah,I have just have it.Automatically detect and Repair Microsoft Office 2007 issues

I go to Control Panel> Programs and Features and want to Repair Office 2007. But no matter I choose the change or uninstall button it gives me an error that says “Setup cannot continue because a required file is either corrupted or not available. Run Setup again from the original source disc or download location.”

Yes, there is an advice asking the user to reinstall Microsoft Office 2007 from the error window but it doesn’t work for me – most of the time the advice shown on the error window is useless. Luckily Windows Office 2007 has a new feature called Microsoft Office Diagnostics. Microsoft Office Diagnostics in the 2007 Microsoft Office system is a series of diagnostic tests that can help you discover why your computer is crashing (closing abnormally). The diagnostic tests can inform you about problems and might identify ways that you can solve other problems.

Before running Office Diagnostics, and to ensure all the tests can run successfully, we recommend that you do the following:

  • Plan to run the tests during a time when you can stop using your system. In particular, you should avoid using the system while the Memory Diagnostic is running.
  • Close as many running programs as you can.

There are three ways to run Microsoft Office Diagnostics.

1. If you have no problems in launching any Office components such as Word or Excel, you can click on the Microsoft Office button located at the top left of the office windows and click Word ( or Excel) Options. Click Resources. Click Diagnose, click Continue, and then click Start Diagnostics.

2. If you can’t run any Office components. you can run Office Diagnostics from the Start menu.    In Microsoft Windows, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office Diagnostics. If  you can’t find the Microsoft Office Diagnostics shortcut from the Start Menu , then go to the following location C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\microsoft shared\\OFFICE12\\ and run offdiag.exe

I know it sounds like a lot, but after you try it,you will find how easy this is to run.
