Google TV has just officially released the Google TV Remote App for iOS devices, which will let you control your Google TV or Google TV set top box from your Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch like an remote. The app is available for free download in the iTunes App Store.
Google TV is a smart TV (Internet-connected television) platform that was announced by Google on May 20, 2010 at Google’s Google I/O event and was co-developed by Google, Intel, Sony and Logitech. Google TV integrates Google’s Android operating system and Google Chrome browser to create “a new experience for television.
The Google TV iPhone Remote app looks pretty neat and has a range of features such as Swipe ‘n’ Tap, Pointer Mode and Voice Control functions. It does the usual remote stuff of changing channels, volume and operating DVR device and is very similar to the Logitech Google TV keyboard controller.
However, unlike Android version of the Google TV Remote app which is already available in Android market since last December , currently the iOS version doesn’t support sharing web pages from the Apple iOS devices to TV screens.

Google TV Remote App works with all Google TV devices and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 3.0 or late. To get started, connect your iOS device to the same network as your Google TV.
