Apple on Thursday released a developer preview of OS X Mountain Lion (10.8), which brings several new features that move it closer to iOS, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system running on iPhones and iPads. Mountain Lion 10.8 introduces Messages, Notes, Reminders and Game Center to the Mac, as well as Notification Center, Share Sheets, Twitter integration and AirPlay Mirroring. Mountain Lion is the first OS X release built with iCloud in mind for storing and synchronizing data between mobile devices and Macs. The developer preview of Mountain Lion also introduces Gatekeeper, a revolutionary security feature that helps keep you safe from malicious software by giving you complete control over what apps are installed on your Mac.

Like most OS X updates before it, the Mountain Lion comes with a blue-ish version of the galaxy as its default wallpaper. Mountain Lion’s wallpaper still keeps with the galaxy theme like OSX Lion 10.7, but it is far more beautiful. If you want to have a look at that nice wallpaper, you do not need to wait until summer before Apple’s latest OS X Mountain Lion is released. You can wear its wallpaper right away.
