Normally, when you delete any file from your hard disk, or from any other storage device, it’s not gone forever. Windows just simply stops listing the file in Windows Explorer and releases that area of the disk for reuse. With a right recovery software, deleted files can easily be recovered, this can be useful when you deleted your file accidentally, but it is also harmful to protect your private or secret data in most times.
EastTec Eraser 2010 solves this problem by overwriting files until they are, largely speaking, beyond recovery. It meets and exceeds government and industry standards for the permanent erasure of digital information and removes every trace of sensitive data from your computer. You can overwrite particular files and folders or – if you need to securely erase something that’s already been deleted in the normal way – an entire disk or partition. You can choose from a range of deletion methods, ranging from a single overwrite right up to the respected and essentially infallible Gutmann method, in which data is overwritten 35 times.
As well as these simple erase options, East-Tec Eraser 2010 also comes with a built-in Privacy Guard module. You can configure East-Tec Eraser 2010 to automatically clean your computer at specified intervals, like when you close your Internet browser, when the computer is not used, at a certain date and time, once a day, or you can set longer cleaning operations to run once a week. You only need to configure it once, and thereafter it can be run on the fly to clean up all traces of your internet and computer use.

Doing some browsing and noticed your website appears a bit messed up in my K-meleon internet browser. But fortunately hardly anyone uses it any longer but you may want to look into it.

the email that east-tec sends in response to filling out the registration form includes a download link for their Eraser which says it is the PCadvisor edition of the 2010 version of ete (excuse me, east-tec eraser, that is). It therefore looks like this offer is good-to-go, after all!
