Personal settings, bookmarks, and any installed extensions and themes are stored on the flash drive along with Firefox Portable. Modifications to reduce the number of writes to the flash drive have also been added.
To install Firefox Portable version, just download the portable package and then double-click it. Select the location you wish to install (on your USB drive or external hard disk) to and click OK. A FirefoxPortable directory will be created there and all the necessary files installed. To start up Firefox Portable, just double-click FirefoxPortable.exe file where you installed Portable Firefox on your portable drive. Then, use it just like you would a local copy of Firefox.
Firefox 4 Portable version does not require Firefox to be installed on the computer, nor does interfere with any installed versions of Firefox.
