Download Free Office and PDF Viewers For Windows Embedded Compact 7
Less than a month ago, Microsoft launched Windows Embedded Compact 7, which is now available worldwide. Now in order to allow Windows Embedded Compact 7 users to open and view Microsoft Office documents without Microsoft Office installation, the Redmond company also released the Office Viewers for Windows Embedded Compact 7, which is now live on the Microsoft Download Center. This release includes features for viewing documents created by PowerPoint, Word and Excel in Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007. In addition to Microsoft Office file formats, support for documents in PDF file formats is also included.
For those who don’t know, Windows Embedded Compact 7, the successor of Windows Embedded CE, is a real-time OS designed to target enterprise specific tools such as industrial controllers and consumer electronics devices such as digital cameras, GPS systems and also automotive infotainment systems.
Viewers for Windows Embedded Compact 7 supports the following Microsoft Office file formats:
- Microsoft Office Word 97, 2000, 2003, XP and 2007 file formats.
- Microsoft Office Excel 97, 2000, 2003, XP and 2007 file formats.
- Microsoft Office PowerPoint 97, 2000, 2003, XP and 2007 file formats.
