In order to launch a direct competition with Skype, fring now enables users to make almost free international calls to any regular landline or mobile phone throughout hundreds of worldwide destinations, with rates as low as 1¢ a minute. The service to call any available landline or cellular connection is named aptly FringeOut by Fring, considering that Skype’s similar service is called SkypeOut. However, Not all calls will be that cheap. Calls to Canada start at 0.4 cents per minute, while calls to India start at 1.1 cents, for example.
