Here is how it works: Everybody can download SoftMaker FreeOffice for Windows & Linux or a free type collection “Elegant Holiday Fonts”. At the same time SoftMaker makes a donation of 10 Euro cents to aid and charity projects on betterplace.org. In other words: You get something good for free, and SoftMake give something to charity. SoftMaker FreeOffice is a complete and full-featured office for Windows and Linux that comes with a TextMaker (word processor), PlanMaker (spreadsheet), and a presentation-graphics program. The developers promise that SoftMaker FreeOffice is compatible with Microsoft Office 2003/2007/ 2010 formats (Opens and saves DOC, XLS, and PPT files of Microsoft Office 2003/2007/2010; Opens DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX files of Microsoft Office 2007/2010). So you can reads and writes all your MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files seamlessly.
