Here is the proof:
Thanks very much to Goodwin, and ashoksn for informing me about this promo. Sorry for my late to report it.
The individual’s who are posting above need to learn how to READ before posting comments such as those above. Asking for help with the key is one thing, flaming the company out of ignorance is another. Failing to simply look at the website, or searching google to learn how to activate the software is just lazy in this age. It takes longer to rant in a few posts than do either options as mentioned above. Additionally, the “pure bullshit” comment is simply disappointing. That fact that the commenter is posting information claiming its a scam is just sad. Thats why you cant have nice things brother, because you don’t even know what there is you don’t know. I suspect that conceptualizing the real reason links are dead may be difficult, and further that life will continue to be forever disappointing when situations call for thinking rather than reacting. Woe to any company that takes down a time limited offer, especially when you are three months late to the offer. Why not troll the website that simply provides the information needed to take advantage of said offer… surely they are responsible for spamming your email, after all, you enter your information in a COMPLETELY different website… A choice that YOU are responsible for, A choice you made. It makes perfect sense to me! Disrespectfully I hope this helps. I offer you two PROTIPs that may take your farther than your going to get in life if your conduct and reasoning continue. 1. Keep blaming others for your problems and then act aggressively when you don’t get your way – I am confident this will continue to work well for you. 2. Ok legitimately helpful this time. Look at the dates of the article, and read the information that is on the screen (or obtain software that can actually read it to/for you. Its not usually free/OS, nor will it be available via giveaway). Take note of the expiration detailed in the article. If you are still confused, and/or not sure, simply left click the mouse, and drag it over the giveaway software name -> now, while it is still highlighted, RIGHT click the mouse and choose the ‘search google option,’ (it may also be bing, duckduckgo, etc., pending the browser – don’t blame me if you use a browser that doesn’t have this – you can also just go to google and do this). Now on google, type “giveaway” behind the search query, then click the “SEARCH TOOLS” button to the lower right of the search bar and choose “time” and then select “last 24 hours.” Then search one more time. Do you see any results offering details for the giveaway? If you don’t see it right away… well, its no longer VALID, and you have missed it. In fact, if you do this after you already tried the link in the article (which was dead) then your observation is indeed accurate the link is dead. That is the only accurate thing about your complaint. In summary, the post, dated 11.24.15, is months after the August 2015 promotional giveaway period ended. THe link will not work, and if it does the email box is not going to send your registration information; THough, it will not collect your email either. The script in the page and objects are DEAD. It means YOU MISSED THE BOAT. If searching google in 4 mouse clicks is too difficult, simply read the post above yours; however, no matter the outcome avoid blaming others for your ignorance, and do not trash websites because of your inability to take note of relevant information on the same page you post on. Oh, and stop talking shit about shit you know nothing about. It undermines you more than anyone who was simply trying to provide information to access a promotion put on by a separate entity. I doubt you will see this, and I will not check back to respond to any comments. Agree or disagree, it is what it is.
Pure bullshit [as so many of MostiWant stuff turns out to be…]–link to promo page works but there’s nothing there. Stripping out the /promotion/htm gets me a website with ridiculously overpriced software …after reading the above post by Richard K I’m pretty well ready to just mark all MostiWant emails as spam. If you can’t do any better than this you need to find another endeavor such as flipping burgers.
It didnt get any key key. Even it is not working. Send me the activation code ASAP
Sorry raghav, DVDFab Passkey was available as a giveaway from August 16 to August 31, 2015! The giveaway is not available anymore. It’s just one of those facts of life: milk goes bad and some great deals come to an end. Better luck next time.
I had the same problem. Double clock on key did not work. Copy and pasting the actual number from the key did not work. It repeatedly said, thankyou, its now registered, application will restart registered ! …but every time it reopened it was NOT registered. Completely silly way to register PLUS it doesn’t work! Uninstalled
Hello William, I copied and paste the key in dvdpasskey enter registration key but it still does’nt work. Thanks for your efforts anyway. greetings.
It’s strange. Both the key file and code word perfectly on my PC (XP & 7).
Have a nice weekend anyway.
William.
First, thanks William for sending me the download and the key attachment. But like Richard already wrote this is a big joke from Fenteago, because there is no key at all. Why not register like we register all the promo’s we get from your great site ‘copy and paste’. I clicked 2 times on the attachment but the key will not import and nothing happens.
Hi johnbarleycorn, you just need to open the key attachment (file name: key.DVDFabPasskey) with Windows Notepad or Microsoft Office Word to get the license code. Please copy the entire code:
Hope this helped.
William.
Thanks Vlado, but this Fengtao software is now uninstalled.
This entire promotion lookis. . . odd, seeing as how the promo page is still there, the non-standard, non-functioning ‘registration process’ is presumably still there, but William is now reporting that this all ended on May 7 2015.
Kudos to William for saying that his August 16 report here — i.e., three days ago — was a little ‘belated’. All is now explained.
As an aside, there was no reason — at all — for Fengtao to resort to this idiotic registration procedure. The email it sent out could just as easily have included the license code.
Hi Richard,
I am sorry that I made mistake yesterday. The giveaway is still running and will last until August 31, 2015. I sincerely apologize for any and all inconveniences this may have caused.
Have a good day!
William.
A complete waste of time — and Fengtao Software knows it. The promo page takes your address and then sends you an email which doesn’t contain any license code at all. Instead, there’s a 1kb ‘key’ attachment. You save that ‘key’ to the same folder where you’ve downloaded the executable. You now install the software and, on opening, it asks you to fill in the registration code. But, of course, you can’t. Because you don’t have one. You’ve been told the program will recognise the inaccessible code because you’ve put it in the same folder. But the program does not.
The developer seems to suspect that this ridiculous run-around it expects people to follow isn’t going to work so, in its email, includes a how-to-install link. But that link has nothing whatsoever to do with the installation of PassKey.
Result? A lot of time wasted, no license code ever given, no license key accessible, no way of getting the program to recognise the key, and no way of filling in a registration field which should never have been there anyway seeing as how it’s incompatible with the registration process. . . as the developer itself knows because it created this ridiculous registration process in the first place.
If Fengtao Software had seriously wanted folks to be able to enjoy its so-called generosity, it would — like any other developer — have simply included the license key in a form to be copied and pasted into the registration field. It chose not to. The only conclusion can be that this is no more than an email address harvesting exercise by a developer who I certainly won’t waste my time on ever again. Bye bye, DVDFab. If anyone wants to stay up to date with DRM stripping then it’s easy enough to get full programs as giveaways elsewhere on a regular basis.
Hello,
as You can read in the info (above comments):
“After installation, double-click on the key file and the license information shall be imported itself.” (!).
That means: after You received the email, You must
download (saved) that (as You say)
“1kb ‘key’ attachment” (!!!) – and after istalation “PASSkey” You must double-click on this (saved) attachment – that is ALL. After this 2_klik You will get info, that soft is …registered.
(after all – passkey do not need be started – only 2_klik on the attachment (saved anywhere).
I wish You success. Vlado.
Thank you Vlado! Have a nice day!
Hallo, clicked on the link send by email but it says; not valid and its sends me back to the homepage. No passkeykey for me, pity.
Sorry. This software was available as a giveaway on May 7, 2015, this giveaway is not available any more. Better luck next time.Hi johnbarleycorn, Please disregard my previous reply, that is a mistake. The giveaway is still running and will last until August 31, 2015. And please check your email for the DVDFab Passkey for DVD & Blu-ray license file. I have just sent it to you. Sorry for the inconveniences.
