We all know about DropBox for free online file storage and sharing. But there are many other companies out there offering the same service for free, and one of the most popular and well functioning ones is Box.com. Box provides simple, secure sharing from anywhere – letting you easily store files online, send big files fast, access content on-the-go, and collaborate with others. Normally, Box.com provides users with 10 GB free account.
Box app for iOS has received a major update (v3.0) recently bringing a completely re-written app with an all new design, faster document rendering and photo loading, real-time search (for files and within files), better sharing and controls, and much more. To commemorate the new release, you can upgrade your personal account to 50GB of storage before February 15, 2014.
Free 50 GB Box.Net Online Cloud Storage:
This offer is valid for new and existing users with personal, free accounts. In order to redeem the offer, you must download the new Box for iPhone and iPad app (v3.0) and log in to it before February 15, 2014. If you already have the Box app and are logged in to the app when you download the new version, you must log out and then log back in to receive the upgrade to your account.
A confirmation email will be sent to you confirming that your account has been upgraded (usually within 24 hours). You can also go to the settings tab in the Box for iPhone and iPad app and look at your account information to see your storage allocation.
If you are a new Box user, you will first need to verify your email address via the email confirmation Box will send you when you sign up. Then log in to the Box app on your iPhone or iPad, at which point you will receive the 50GB offer. Note if you click on the email confirmation link from your computer and log in to Box via the web (and not on your iPhone or iPad), you will not see the 50GB offer. Please log in to your account from the app and the 50GB upgrade will be triggered.
This offer is not cumulative with other offers. So if you have 10GB, 25GB, or any amount of storage less than 50GB when you redeem this offer, your account will be upgraded to 50GB. If you have previously redeemed a 50GB storage upgrade offer from Box, your storage allocation will remain at 50GB.
Please note that you will only be able to download the new Box for iPhone and iPad app if you are running iOS6 or iOS7 on your device. If you are running an older version of iOS, you will retain the older version of the Box for iPhone and iPad app and will not be able to get the 50GB offer.
It’s unfortunate that Android users aren’t getting this same love, but you can just try the fee 10 GB Personal account or check out the current promotions offered by Box.
