A quick message to warn all fellow domainers.
#1 – The “company” (a garage one I suspect) cannot spell ‘domain’ … it sometimes spells it domein. Pretty clear proof it’s a one-man show. Maybe three people but definitely not a proper corporation.
#2 – They ask you to “prepay” your account with EUR 100 or more and dare to charge you 3% extra for c/c processing. Another thing is they quote EUR 4.xx when you search but EUR 1x.xx when you actually want to register it. Their credibility is obviously not worth 99 cents.
#3 – I would rather trust GoDaddy than these guys (and I wouldn’t touch GoDaddy with a 10-foot pole since name.com and netfirms.com actually provide people with good service). Trusting someone who asks me to trust him before I know how legit his business is = future trouble.
My 2 cents. Take my advice or go ahead and risk the future of your .eu portfolio.
@ Ota, thanks very much for your advice!
@William You’re welcome. 🙂
