Thank you!
tryed it 6 times didnt work got an error all exsplore 9 didnt uninstall crap!
Just tried this with IE9 on windows 7 64 bit and IE9 full release. Unfortunately it just seems to uninstall IE9 not revert to IE8. If you turn IE on again the only option is IE9. Help! Can I get IE 9 to identify as IE7 as you could on IE8? Thats all I needed to achieve but it doesn’t seem possible.
@Mike: Try go through the instruction for uninstalling IE9 (this post is the official method recommended by microsoft to uninstall ie9). Once you have finished with the uninstall process restart your computer. Then use setup of IE8 to install in your system.
If you just need to get IE 9 to identify as IE7, press F12 to bring up the developer tool, then on the browser mode, select IE7. I don’t know if this works for the final version of IE 9, as i am currently working on a Xp machine which can’t install ie 9
