Laplink PCmover Image & Drive Assistant Free Serial Number
|Laplink Software today announced that one of their most popular products, PCmover Image & Drive Assistant, is available for free one day only, in celebration of their 32st anniversary. Be sure to get it RIGHT NOW because the FREE software will only be available for 24 hours! But–do not worry–all of the other software discounts will be available through the end of June.
As we all know, disk imaging products on the market today are only able to restore an entire image including the operating system. That means using current imaging software to restore an image of a Windows XP, Vista or 7 PC to a computer running Windows 8 will overwrite everything, including Windows 8. PCmover Image & Drive Assistant solves this problem.
PCmover Image & Drive Assistant is breakthrough software that complements ANY imaging solution available on the market today. Now, you can transfer all or selected programs, files, and settings from an image or hard drive to a new PC without overwriting anything, leaving the Windows operating system on the new PC unchanged. Furthermore, applications selected to be restored are automatically installed, eliminating the need to find previously downloaded applications, CDs, or serial numbers. The simple step-by-step wizard guides the user through the entire process, making this the perfect tool for people of any age or technical skill.
PCmover Image & Drive Assistant now also includes Free Transfer Assistance, a groundbreaking new service for all customers setting up a new PC using PCmover. Now, at no additional charge, every PCmover customer can use Laplink’s Free Transfer Assistance, providing optimized VIP-level service throughout the entire PC setup experience. With the addition of the Free Transfer Assistance feature to PCmover, restoring an image or hard drive is no longer a daunting task.

“Claim Your FREE Software” button is missing from the page I got to.
I talked with Laplink tech support. I was told by them that this program does not create the image; it only moves an image. The tech told me that the image can be created by another of their programs which is available for purchase. I won’t install this giveaway because I don’t want to buy the other product.
What the Laplink tech support told you is true – to some extent 😉 – yet your conclusion is wrong.
The image can be created by another of Laplink programs, but it can be created by one of many other Disk Imaging software, including freeware programs as well.
The excerpt below is from PCmover Image & Drive Assistant’s user guide:
“Restore Steps: To restore from an image or old hard drive, first mount the image
or connect the hard drive to your new PC:
• VHD image format: If you are running Windows 7 or Windows 8 on your new PC and the disk image is in VHD (i.e., virtual hard disk) format, you can mount the image using the Disk Management tool included in Windows 7 and Windows 8.
• Other image formats: If the image is not in VHD, mount the disk image as a drive using your disk imaging software (i.e., Laplink DiskImage).
• Hard drive: Physically connect your old hard drive directly to your new PC.
See the Setting Up Image Restore section (page 3) for more information on these three options.”
Thus you don’t need to buy another Laplink product to use all features of these two programs that were offered in the 32nd Laplink Anniversary giveaway. That’s not necessary at all.
And yes, I’m correct, when saying: two programs – because PCmover Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant (worth $29.95) was also included in the yesterday’s giveaway bundle – alongside with PCmover Image & Drive Assistant. William didn’t mention that. 🙂
Works ok tho pages do take a while to load & d/l itself is bit slow. They remember my logon info from years ago. Not sure what I’ll use it for since Macrium Reflect is my go to for Image. Maybe this one allows for partial copying like just a specific Folder leaving original OS intact. Otherwise I’d just restore an existing OS like Windows 8 or 10 to the new C drive.
Hi, William…
The page not work…
Error 404…
Dear Matt, It’s working for me now. The problem has already been solved.
The signup process rejects the serial number. Also there is no download to register with the serial number. So how does one get it?
Dear MilesAhead, The problem has already been solved. But please hurry up to get your free copy as the giveaway will only valid for 24 hours.
I got it. Thank you.
Mission impossible!
A word of “Thanks” for this – most fortunate on the timing as my new computer arrives next week!
