My wife is completely thrilled with the desktop version. She’s been frustrated by the spam level in her various email boxes (she has some business email addresses in addition to personal), and MailWasher Pro has made it much easier for her to deal with.
I’m not so excited about the mobile version, at least for Android. I don’t see what value it provides. It shows me a brief preview of my emails from my various accounts and lets me delete them, but I could do that from the regular Android mail app. It doesn’t seem to include any kind of spam recognition. Also, unlike the desktop version, on IMAP connections the Android version shows me messages that have already been read but not yet deleted.
I never was able to get a “standard” GMail account to be accessed from the desktop version. It works fine with “2-factor” GMail accounts when given an app-specific password, but for ordinary “just a password access”, MailWasher Pro fails to connect. Their product support people didn’t have any suggestions, either. No problems at all with any other accounts, just with Gmail password-only accounts.
