Apple will open its second flagship store in China tomorrow, July 10, in the heart of Shanghai’s financial district, located near local landmark the Oriental Pearl Tower. Many people are concerned about the Shanghai store. As we can’t find more news on the Apple website, one of my friends went to the scene and take a few picture of it.Let me show you of them.
According to Shanghaiist, the new Shanghai Apple Store bears a striking resemblance to the flagship Fifth Avenue store in New York.
The store will be only the second outlet Apple has opened in China since the Mac manufacturer opened its first China store in Beijing in 2008. “The first Apple Store is reported to be joining 300 shops on Beijing’s Qianmen Street, which is undergoing a $40 million renovation to restore it to Ming-era architecture.
But Apple has since announced plans to have 25 retail outlets in China by the end of 2011, disclosing those plans when it announced second-quarter earnings in April.“This is the first of many stores we will open in China,” Ron Johnson, Apple’s senior vice president of retail said at the time.
